9-1-1 took an call for an house fire at 118 beaver dr. Mastic beach cheif was in route and was told that there was a dog trapped in side the house.
Mastic Mastic beach beach cheif arrived on the scene and was meet with heavy fire showing out of the front of the house.
Mastic beach cheif requested to retone his dept for a working fire and requested Mastic fd for RITteam and brookhaven fd to cover there fire house for any more alarms that come in.
Mastic beach fd chief radioed back to his in coming units that there was live power lines down on the lawn to stop just short of the fire scene.
Mastic Beach fd tanker 5-13-2 arrived on the scene and firefighter went right to work.
Firefighter started to knock the fire down from the outside and worked they way into the house.
Firefighters where in the house and was met with heavy fire and was able to make a nice know down on the bulk of the fire.
Mastic beach fd units arrived on the scene and picked up a hydrant and dropped a second line to help hit what ever fire was still burning.
Firefighters searched the house for the dog and found the dog did not make it.
Mastic beach fd chief requested fire marshal and arson to find the cause of the fire.
