Coram Fire Department Gets Some Work

Coram NY- On Saturday February 13, 2021 at about 9:42 PM the Coram Fire Department activated for a reported house fire on Samantha Dr. Dispatch advised the first responding chiefs that the caller was reporting their roof was on fire. On arrival the chiefs found a chimney fire had extended to the roof of the home and requested a reactivation for a working fire and to start the mutual aids to the scene.
First responding engines crew hit the hydrant and began to quickly stretch handlines. The Coram chief requested his ladder as well as a ladder from Selden to respond to the scene. An Engine form the Middle Island FD was also sent to the scene as was an engine from Selden and ambulances from Coram and Selden FD’s. Firefighters were able to make a quick knock down of the fire. No injuries were reported. The scene was turned over to the Brookhaven Town Fire Marshal Office for investigation.
