WALTHAM, MA - On February 17th, a truck driver traveling northbound on I-95 in Waltham reported that the dumpster he was hauling was smoking. Waltham Engine 4 and Squad 5 responded. When Deputy Capello arrived on scene he requested Squad 5 take a parallel road to I-95 and stand by a hydrant. It was determined that bags of lime were burning. After 30 minutes, the truck was escorted to a Lexington public works facility where it was emptied and Engine 4 hosed down the fire.
