Two Transported After Single-Vehicle Crash on E Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala

(OCALA, FL.) Feb. 2, 2022 – Ocala Fire Rescue's Engine 5, Rescue 3, Tower 1, Battalion Chief 22, and a Safety Officer were dispatched to a vehicle accident at the 3100 block of E Silver Springs Blvd. shortly after 7:00 a.m. today.

Battalion Chief 22 arrived first at the scene of a single-vehicle crash to find a heavily damaged gray sedan with an entrapped passenger. Rescue crews began patient care while engine and tower crews used extrication tools to remove both of the vehicle's passenger-side doors to free the patient.

Once extricated, the passenger was taken to the hospital. The driver was also transported.

No other injuries were reported.

Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
