Longtime Officer Retires From Bethlehem PD

A walk-out ceremony was held at the Bethlehem Police Station for Craig Sleurs on Monday, January 25.

Traffic Safety Investigator Sleurs retired from the Bethlehem Police Department after serving more than 20 years in law enforcement, according to their Facebook page.

Family and friends gathered with members of the Slingerlands Fire Department, where Sleurs currently serves as chief of the fire department.

Also in attendance were members of the Delmar, Elsmere and Selkirk fire departments as well as Delmar-Bethlehem EMS and Albany County Paramedics.

Police officers from the department lined up to congratulate Sleurs as well as officers from the Colonie and Coeymans police departments.
