Franklin fire causes heavy damage to building

Franklin, NH. January 26-2025. A Two-Alarm fire caused heavy damage to a 3-Story single family home Sunday evening. Around 2315 hrs. a caller reported a house on fire at Chance Pond Rd and North Main Street. Franklin along with automatic mutual aid was dispatched and Franklin companies arrived a short time later finding the rear of the 3 story structure fully involved. A second alarm was transmitted and members began a search for any missing occupants. Numerous hand lines were deployed and Laconia's Tower Ladder operated in the rear while Franklins Tower open up the front side of the roof. The fire had already burned through the rear section of the roof and interior sections as well. The fire was knocked done by 0015 hrs and the NH State Fire Marshals office was brought in to investigate.
