NEWBURGH, NY - Cronomer Valley FD responded to a reported vehicle fire close to a structure on January 29th. Command arrived and requested the first-alarm sounded, requesting Plattekill, Good Will and Middlehope. Cronomer Valley stretched one line to the vehicle and knocked down the fire. Plattekill continued to the scene and supplied Cronomer Valley's engine with water. Middlehope was canceled to the scene, and Good Will was released to cover fire calls in Cronomer Valley's district. Command requested the Town of Newburgh Fire Inspector to the scene. Cronomer Valley Fire Police directed traffic at the scene. The cause is under investigation.
