HAWTHORNE, NJ - At approximately 9:00 A.M., the Hawthorne FD, Police and EMS were dispatched to 100 Rock Rd., the Hawthorne Gardens Apartment Complex, on the report of a possible collapse. Upon arrival, units were directed to a building, where an interior basement wall had collapsed inward, causing the outer walls of the building to be breached and the floor of the apartment above to drop inward. USAR responded and was released after, as there were no reported injuries. The Red Cross responded and relocated several occupants. At this time, four units are uninhabitable.
