HONEY BROOK TWP., PA - On January 22nd at 6:42 P.M., Fire Box 3351 was struck for a reported building fire at Bakery Feeds, in Honey Brook Township.

Chief 33 and Engine 33-1 arrived to confirm fire in the exterior ductwork. Because the Westbrook Drive entrance was obstructed, E33-1 laid nearly 1000’ of LDH from a nearby hydrant on Poplar Road, which was subsequently picked up by E33-5. Lancaster Truck 39 set up and worked to gain access to the elevated ductwork.

Crews battled the frigid cold as outside temperatures were roughly eight degrees. Fortunately, the fire was held to its place of origin with little extension. The incident was placed under control at 8:27 P.M., with all crews clearing the scene a short time later. Chief 33 held the Westbrook Drive Command.
