LOWELL, MA - Lowell firefighters battled a fire in a large 3 story multiple family dwelling on January 18th. Companies arrived to heavy smoke showing and command struck a 2nd alarm. Fire was found in multiple void spaces as well as extending into the cockloft. Command struck a 3rd alarm bringing mutual aid to the city and to the scene. The fire was knocked down a short time later.
