Twenty-One students just completed a 5-day Basic Wildland class at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve in St, Petersburg. Students came from around the state to participate in this class. The students came from City, County and State agencies. After 32 hours in the class the last day was a field day where students put to use what they learned. Some students will use this new learned skill to participate in Prescribed Fires, others will fight Wildland Fires.
