Whitehall Firefighters Battle Fatal Apartment Fire

Firefighters from Whitehall Township were dispatched to 1308 N 13th St in the Spring Ridge Apartments for a reported apartment building fire. Numerous calls to the Lehigh County 9-1-1 Center were reporting Building J was well off with fire showing. The Lehigh County 9-1-1 Center advised responding units that police were on scene report multiple buildings involved. Crews arrived on scene and found fire showing from the J building with multiple apartments well off. During the course of the fire crews found a deceased victim inside the initial apartment. Companies from Greenawalds and Catasauqua also assisted on the scene as well as Woolawn's Cascade and Cetronia EMS.
