LYNDHURST, NJ - At 6:35 P.M. on the evening of December 19, 2024, Lyndhurst Fire Department was dispatched to 52 Livingston Avenue on a reported house fire. Upon arrival, heavy fire was showing from the rear of the first-floor of the home, and a vehicle had ignited as a result of the radiant heat in the rear driveway. First due engine company, Engine 1, started an interior attack, and an exposure line was stretched to the 'Bravo' side of the residence to extinguish the vehicle fire. As a result, the fire was held to the floor of origin. Mutual aid from North Arlington FD with a FAST team and Rutherford assisted on scene, while East Rutherford and Secaucus provided coverage. The fire was declared unintentional after investigation.
