The Delmar Fire Department hosted their annual open house event on Sunday, October 6.

Members were serving pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, apple cider and apple cider donuts.

There was a hose activity and fire extinguisher activity for kids to participate in, as well as a bounce house.

There was also a live burn demonstration showing how quick a fire can grow and the importance of early detection from a smoke detector.
