Hatfield Fire Department is a predominantly call department, with a small on-duty/per-diem staff, operating under the command of Chief Robert Flaherty. The town's ambulance, a 2019 Ford F550/Horton is operated by the firefighters at the ALS level. The HFD fleet has three front-line engines, one tanker, a brush truck, and various support vehicles that run out of a single-story, three-bay facility behind the town hall. Department offices and living quarters are in an adjacent structure.
