Monday Night Training: Advanced Vehicle Rescue

August 19, 2024Limerick crews headed to Auto Rescue on Swamp Pike in Limerick for Monday night training to practice advanced vehicle rescue techniques. Members utilized struts, cribbing, battery-operated, and manual tools to stabilize multiple vehicles and perform rescue operations in simulated advanced scenarios. Evolutions included a car on its side against another vehicle and a multi-vehicle crash with elevated hazards. Various techniques were used to determine the best method to safely and quickly perform the rescue. Members braved the heavy rain to complete a successful training on high-risk/low-frequency advanced extrication.
