PCFR Station 38 serves the Watergrass and Wesley Chapel communities of Pasco County. This 10,843-sq.-ft. facility opened in 2019. It features four drive-through bays, Plymovents and a PURVIS alert system. These features reduce response times and help reduce job related injuries and stress.
This much needed firehouse helps fulfill the department’s goal to have a station within five miles of every structure. It is home to Ladder 38, Rescue 38, Decon-1, EMS-2 and Investigator 1 all run out of his station. The Decon unit is staffed 24/7 by one dedicated firefighter. He responds all incidents where gear needs to be swapped out to provides fresh gear, properly bag contaminated PPE and work to expedite its cleaning and return. EMS-2 is a supervisor’s vehicle and Investigator 1 is self-explanatory. They are also staffed around the clock.
Thank you to Chief Cassin, PIO Dierdorff and the members of Station 38 for the VIP tour!
