Punta Gorda, FL - The Charlotte County Public Safety highlighted a successful animal rescue involving Animal Control Officer Beattie and a community member.

After discovering a stray dog in a wooded area, a citizen gained the animal’s trust and was led to several hidden puppies. Upon arrival, Officer Beattie joined the effort, and together they conducted an extensive search through dense terrain, locating the remaining puppies.

With all eight puppies safely recovered, responders were able to reunite them with the mother, who was carefully brought to safety after initial hesitation. The incident underscored the importance of community involvement and teamwork, demonstrating how cooperation and compassion can lead to a successful outcome.
