On July 12, firefighters from departments throughout New York and Connecticut attended a Paratech heavy lifting and stabilization training session conducted by the Melville Volunteer Fire Department.

Advanced lifting, stabilization, and rescue techniques intended for challenging technical rescue situations were taught to participants in a hands-on manner. Additionally, the training gave firemen a chance to improve cooperation and exchange best practices with other organizations.

All participating agencies and instructors were commended by department authorities for their dedication to ongoing education and upholding a high standard of operational readiness.
