Troy Firefighters Join Aerial Wildland Fire Survey

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

On June 28, members of the Unity and Troy Volunteer Fire Departments joined the Maine Forest Service for an airborne inspection of the area.

Crews were able to locate access roads and other important locations that might be utilized in future wildland fire responses thanks to the helicopter fly. Firefighters gained a better awareness of the area geography and potential access issues because to the pre-incident planning exercise.
