The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) celebrated its first Caribbean American Heritage Month on June 4th at its Brooklyn headquarters.

The FDNY Caribbean Society planned the event, according to officials, to honor the contributions, culture, and legacy of Caribbean Americans who work in the department and around New York City. To honor the diversity that benefits the FDNY and the communities it serves, members, visitors, and supporters came together.
