On Monday June 17th, Perkiomen Township volunteers held a joint training with Limerick Fire Department at Auto Rescue on Swamp Pike in Limerick Twp. The training focused solely on vehicle stabilization techniques and practical applications. Three different scenarios were set up and the teams rotated through each scenario to stabilize the vehicles (and an airplane). The mixed teams worked multiple scenarios and evolutions in a supervised training. It’s a best practice to train together with our mutual aid partners. Thanks to Limerick Fire Dept for hosting this joint training and thanks to Auto Rescue for the use of their facility. Constant and consistent training, discussion plus going through some practical scenarios keep all of us ready to respond.
