As the Bakersfield Volunteer Fire Department continues to expand its volunteer numbers, two new members were welcomed on June 24th: Kate and Trevor.

Trevor has always wanted to be a fireman, according to officials, and he has already shown excitement and a readiness to help wherever needed. Kate adds a wealth of medical expertise and experience to the department. While actively assisting with departmental operations, she is getting ready to get certified for the department's First Response Team.
