CROMWELL, CT. — May 30th — In celebration of former Chief David Colligan's 50 years of community service, the Cromwell Fire Department "Official" dedicated its training grounds in a special ceremony. Colligan's lengthy career and accomplishments to the fire service were honored with a gathering of department members, town officials, family, and friends. The dedication, according to officials, honors his leadership, dedication to firefighter training, and support of public safety over the course of his decades with the department.
Colligan's influence on successive generations of firemen and his enduring contribution to bolstering the department and helping the Town of Cromwell will be honored by the recently renamed training grounds.
