RUTHERFORD, NJ - On May 24th around 1:30 P.M., Rutherford companies were dispatched to 194 Belford Ave. on a report of smoke showing from a residence. Chief Riser arrived and confirmed smoke showing from the attic of a dwelling. Engine 2 arrived and stretched hand lines. They were assisted by Engine Co. 4 and quickly knocked the fire, which was confined to the attic. Mutual aid assisting on scene and in stand by came from East Rutherford, Lyndhurst, Wallington and North Arlington.
