The town of Douglas is located in southern Worcester County. Its southern border is the state line, shared with Connecticut and Rhode Island. Douglas is home to a 5,525-acre state forest, and according to the recent census, they have approximately 9,000 residents.
Fire and EMS services are provided by a combined department that operates from a one-story, multiple-bay facility at 64 Main St. The department has three engines, one quint, two ambulances, a brush truck, and various support units.
The career staff includes the Chief, an Assistant Chief, and five firefighters. They are backed up by a fifteen-member call force.
