Minor bedroom fire sends one to hospital in Ridgefield

Apparently, an exploding oxygen tank ignited a mattress and some items in a Ridgefield home in the morning hours of May 11th. Around 6:30 a.m. Companies were dispatched to a Elm ave home on reported house fire. Arriving chiefs found smoke showing form the house. Quick action by firefighters and police officers contained the minor fire to a second-floor bedroom. EMS tended to the 73-year-old victim before transporting her to the hospital
