Old Somerville Central Station

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Somerville still owns the former Central Fire Station located at 165 Broadway. The building opened in 1895 and is currently being used as a senior center and soup kitchen for the homeless. Fire companies operated from this building until the Reilly-Brickley Memorial Firehouse opened in the 1970s.
