North Codorus Township is located just to the west of central York County, PA. The current population is just over 9,000 citizens within the 33 square miles of the township.
The North Codorus Twp. Fire Company actually came to life as the Stoverstown Community Fire Co. #1 in February of 1955. In 1985, the fire company was contracted by the Township and became the North Codorus Twp. Fire Company. In 1994 the company moved into it's current quarters located at 4012 Salem Road in Spring Grove, PA.
Today the company answers between 315-320 calls per year in the township and surrounding communities with 35 active volunteers. The apparatus consists of an engine, rescue-engine, brush, tanker, and a utility. This past February marked their 65th year of service.
A special thanks to Chief Carr for his assistance.
