FIRE TRUCK IS LOCATED IN MARYVILLE, TN.

You are bidding on a 1992 International 4954 truck with a Quality Manufacturing M-674 pumper chassis. This truck was purchased new on 11/25/91. The engine is a International DT/DTA 466, Serial # 635396, 250 HP. The transmission is a Allison MT643, Ser. # 2410436011. Both the engine and transmission function normally in keeping with the hours/miles. The engine, like most older diesels, vibrates at idle but smooths out off-idle. The pumper unit is a Waterous, #C3, Ser. # 23632W and functions normally.

EXTERIOR: The paint is faded except the hood (repainted a few years back). Decals have been removed and impressions are very visible. All glass is intact, no chips or cracks. Some of the bin latches do not function correctly.

INTERIOR: The seats are in generally good condition in keeping with the years. The dash has a melted spot on the RH side where some wiring got hot (repaired). The Fire Comm system works as do the radios. The rear seat has airpack brackets/jump seats. There is an onboard air refilling system that works.

MECHANICAL: The engine starts and runs with a battery boost. The 250 HP engine is underpowered for a truck this size with a full load of water and gear. It is not recommended for use in mountainous terrain. The transmission shifts normally. The pump performs normally and passed the last test. Operators report this pump works very well and is very smooth. The last few photos show the gauges while the pump is in gear, pumping water. The A/C does not work, we have not attempted to diagnose the problem.

OTHER: A few of the gauges on the panel have broken seals (liquid leaked out). The scene lights (2) are included and work. Also included is some firefighting gear, including a generator (Yamaha--pull start--but we have not attempted to start it), an electric fan, some ladders (passed most recent NFPA test). The light bar works when hooked up to 12V directly, but does not work from switches in the cab (wiring problems). Flashlights with chargers and other assorted gear in the photos is included (see pics).

TIRES: Front: LH 11/32", RH 12/32" Rear: Left inner: 21/32", Left outer: 21/32", Right inner: 19/32", Right outer: 20/32" All tires are inflated and hold air.

PM SERVICES: This truck was maintained by our Fleet Maint. Div. and was serviced at approx. 300 hr. intervals. It was last serviced on 5/52/16 @ 6,060 hrs. (190 hrs. ago). Other recent repairs include: 11/2017 @ 85,362 mi. we replaced both batteries, in 9/2018 @ 6,239 hrs. we replaced the engine water pump and air brake compressor hoses.
