Yaphank NY- On November 7th at about 3:20PM Suffolk County Fire Rescue Dispatched Yaphank Fire Department to a report of a vehicle fire on Lindeman Ct off German Blvd. Units 16 and 80 were first on scene and found flames coming from a commercial truck. They staged down at the corner, so the responding Engines had room to come right into the scene.
Under the command of 5-30-50 Engines 7 and 9 came up onto Lindeman and began to stretch lines. Crews were able to get a quick handle on the fire and prevented it from spreading to the near by brush. No injuries were reported. Assistant Chief Alex Z (31) and fire police were also on scene.
