This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

At around one in the morning on June 27, the Main-Transit, Snyder, and Getzville fire departments automatically provided mutual aid to the Williamsville Fire Department in response to a reported house fire on Lehn Springs Drive.

The first person to come was a mutual assistance officer, who used a portable water extinguisher to halt the fire outside the house until other crews could arrive. Firefighters reduced the amount of damage to the house by swiftly putting out the fire.

An attentive neighbor reported the incident, and there were no reported injuries. During the response, a number of public safety organizations also provided assistance.
