SHIRLEY, MA - During the early morning of April 25th, Shirley firefighters were dispatched to Going Rd. for a reported fire. Companies arrived to find multiple cars burning in the middle of a junkyard. Crews stretched several handlines and had the fire knocked down in a short amount of time. A front-end loader was brought in to move some of the cars so that overhaul could be performed. Mutual aid from Ayer, Devens, and Lunenburg assisted at the scene.
